Privacy
What we don’t ask for
No account, email, phone number or real name. A nickname is optional and lasts only for your current visit; it’s also remembered in your own browser so you don’t have to retype it.
Your chats
Messages pass through our server to the other person and are not saved. The server keeps the last 30 messages of a chat in memory while it’s open, and deletes them when the chat ends.
If someone reports a chat, those last messages are saved with the report so we can review it, act on it, and meet legal obligations. Reports are kept for [retention period, to be confirmed].
Network information
To stop spam and abuse, the server uses your IP address to limit connections and to apply temporary blocks. Inside the app it’s converted into a coded value (a keyed hash) rather than stored as-is. The site runs on Cloudflare, which may keep its own technical logs under its privacy policy.
Counting visits
We count visits and chats as daily totals only. We don’t use cookies or advertising trackers, and we can’t follow you from one day to the next.
Bot check
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out. It processes some technical information about your browser under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Anonymity has limits
The other person doesn’t see who you are. That doesn’t make you untraceable: we may have to share information we hold with authorities when the law requires it.
